Customer Verification Process: Knowledge-Based Authentication (KBA)

This article will go over the steps a customer will take if they were to validate their identity with the KBA verification method.

1.) The customer will receive an email notifications that allows them to access their documents.

2.) It will lead them to a page to begin the KBA Authentication Process.

3.) They will then go through and answer all of the questions that are included in the test in the allotted time frame.

  • The number of questions, amount of multiple choice answers, as well as the time limits will depend on the parameters your financial institution has set.
  • If they pass they will be able to access the documents from there.
    • The passing score percentage will depend on the parameters your financial institution has set.
  • Failing result, or ran out of time etc., the ability to retest and the waiting period to do so will depend on the parameters your financial institution has set.
