- What is KBA?
- KBA @EpicRiver utilizes dynamic, knowledge-based authentication questions formulated from public and proprietary data sources. You can ensure your customer's identity is verified prior to accessing any information.
- Is KBA included with our contract?
- No. KBA is the only add-on ID verification solution directly contracted through Epic River. Please contact your Epic River Account Manager or info@epicriver.com for more information and pricing.
- How do I set up or modify my recipient's ID verification method to KBA?

- How long does it take for our customer to complete their verification?
- KBA is set up with a time limit to be completed for validation. By default, the time limit is 2 minutes.
- When should I use KBA?
- KBA is considered on of our enhanced ID verification methods that is very user-friendly. The common use case to utilize this verification method is if the institution needs to validate a new customer, if there was a questionable customer to complete eSigning of documents, or need an technologically advanced solution for identity verification.
- Is KBA an option as an integration method with LaserPro, DepositPro, and DecisionPro?
- Yes! Please be sure to double check your settings in your General Systems Settings (GSS) on your server is correctly implemented and KBA is contracted with Epic River.
- What are the default KBA settings?
- The customer will be required to answer 5 multiple choice questions
- Each question will have at least five multiple choice answers
- At least 80% of the questions must be answered correctly
- All questions must be answered within 2 minutes
- If the customer fails the quiz, the customer may retake one time within 24 hours
- All previous questions will be replaced during a retake.
- Yes. You will first need to contact our support team at support@epictiver.com to make setting modifications. Here are some settings you can modify:

- Passing Score Percentage
